Reconnecting during the SportNL Olympic mission in Paris

Just concluded another remarkable SportsNL Olympic mission filled with exciting new experiences in Paris!

Over the past four days, the Beewan team was on a mission in Paris, reconnecting with our French partners from previous visits. This has opened up promising collaboration opportunities during the Games and other international sports projects, particularly in the realms of Fan and hospitality experiences.

We had the privilege of participating in insightful lectures and discussions on topics such as mobility, sustainability, legacy, and, of course, fan engagement. Valuable insights were gained from experts like Herbert Wolff, Fabienne van Dillen, Jeanne Bruge, Sander, van Stiphout, Thierry du Crest, Paul van der Kolk and Gregory Sedoc.

The stories from various speakers were further enriched by the overwhelming and unique locations where the sessions took place. From keynotes in the consul’s residence in the heart of Paris to behind-the-scenes tours of the athlete accommodation at Institut National du Sport, de l’Expertise et de la Performance (INSEP, the French equivalent of Papendal) and a visit to the impressive new aquatic center in Saint-Denis under the guidance of the architects, Ton Venhoeven and Cécilia Gross of VenhoevenCS architecture+urbanism.

There was also considerable focus on matchmaking with potential partners in France opening avenues for future collaborations. This presented an opportunity for Beewan to showcase itself within a vast network, and the possibilities our ‘matches’ envisioned extended beyond sports, leading to valuable relationships in our live communication and hospitality sectors.

Speaking of valuable relationships, the group of Dutch entrepreneurs we traveled with, was teeming with innovative initiatives, valuable contacts, and inspiring stories. It was fantastic to hear how each entrepreneur is uniquely contributing to placing the Netherlands on the international stage! Thanks to everyone for the engaging conversations and, on a lighter note, for the laughter.

A special shoutout to Lise Lotte Pel of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in France and Ruben Dubelaar from GreenWaveEU for their impeccable organization. Thanks to everyone who made this incredible trip possible, and see you again soon!
